INTRODUCTION
Thesis Statement:
There are three parties that can form good personality of children: the family, the school and the environment.

A.     The family is the most urgent part to build a good personality for children.
1.      strengthen the personality of children
2.      make a strong relation to children
3.      give appropriate responsibilities for all members

B.     In building good personality, teachers play the vital role at school.
1.      maximize their role in teaching process
2.      have to be the role model for the students

C.     Good personalities of children are connected with the usual norms in the surroundings.
1.      learn how to “play-a-role” in all aspects
2.      need the clarity of the rules in the environment

CONCLUSION
Pesonal development education sounds tough, but educating the heart is just as important as educating the mind. Family, school and environment have their own portion to form a good personalities for children. The biggest part is taken by family. If the educational pattern in family has been built well, automatically, the children will be easier to accept the pesonal development education at school and environment. How big the influence of the formal education to the kids, even formal or not, will not as great as the influence of the pesonal development education at home. That is why family is the most important place to build good personalities of children. Even all of the three parties have to cooporate to get a maximum result.


Building A Good Personality of Children

“A recent rash of news stories highlights the positive in society’s youngest members: ‘Child Saves Kids from Bus Crash;’ ‘Child Saves His Brother from Possible Abduction;’ ‘Child Saves Family from House Fire.’ But all too often, the news involving children indicates a dangerous lack of morality: ‘7- and 8-year-olds stealing cars;’ ‘a 9-year-old’s recent shooting of a school classmate;’ ‘a 12-year-old charged with armed robbery’.” Good personality is not formed automatically. Rather it is developed over time through a sustained process of teaching, example, learning, and practice -that is personal development education. Personal development education is particularly important today as our youngsters are exposed to many opportunities and dangers unknown to their parents and grandparents. They are bombarded with many more negative influences through the media and other external sources prevalent in today's culture. There are three parties that can form good personality of children: the family, the school and the environment.
The first part is family. Family is the most urgent part to build  good personality for children. House is the very first place to be educated and parents are the teachers. The behavior and the way of parents to teach their children at home will give big impact to their kids’ behavior at school and environment. Becoming an example for strengthen the personality of the children should have been realized by all parents. Parents are the very first and important example for the kids. Because of that, parents should start to change their selves become better. Change our own selves is easier than change others and environment, Parents should have good characters that they want to be developed in their children, at least try to have it. If parents violated their own advice, kids will have a bad education from the very first time because they learn by seeing and listening.  Besides giving good examples, parents should also make a strong relation to their children, especially mother. A connection between mother and children has been started since the childbirth. According to Erikson, a basic trust which has developed through a mother-children relation at their early ages will give the necessary to be successful in their social life later. In other words, the strong emotional bonding between mother and children at the early ages will build good personality for the children.  After parents and children have a good relation, parents should give appropriate responsibilities to their children. Every family member should get their own responsibilities, include parents. This kind of activity will develop a responsible feeling in the children’s heart. As Josephson said that personality is how some people act when they think that there’s no one seen them.  A behavior which is based on personality is a responsible behavior and it is done for the sake of them. Then, the good behavior come up not only because there’s someone seen it but also because of the responsible feeling and desire to do it.
The second part is school. In building a good personality, teachers play the vital role at school. Teachers should maximize their role in teaching process. They should not place themselves as the actor who are listened and saw by the students in the class. Teachers should act as the director who direct and guide the students so that they can find the result or the answers by themselves. Beside that, teachers have to be the role model for the students. Basically, children always imitate the behavior of the people they like. This moment is actually good chance for teachers to build good personalities and good relationships to their students.
The last part is environment. Good personality of children are connected with the usual norms in the surroundings. Lickona said that a good personality include understanding, longing and doing good things are showed by thinking, feeling and acting. Basically, the basic task of the children is to develop the right understanding about how the world works. In the other words, the basic task or the children is learning how to “play-a-role” in all aspect or their life. With the clarity of the rules in their surroundings, kids will know by exact and will not hesitate to behave in their surroundings. That is why to build strong personality for the children; the clarity of the rules in surroundings is needed.
